Oct 6, 1936 Cleveland O. Dearest Hubby: Well sweetie, I just got back from the doctor’s and it is an inflammed ovary and has to come out. Now don’t get to worrying it is not a serious operation, but will have to be done sooner or later. And other wise am in perfect condition. I asked if I ever had gonderrhea and the answer was no and have no other venereal disease of any kind, but am built very small, should be careful not to lift any thing heavy, no harsh cathartics like salts etc, eat a lot of fruit, So that is all in a nut shell. What do you think of it. You’re not going to worry now are you? Cause honey, I don’t want you to. Darling those last few letters I wrote you don’t destroy. I’m awfully sorry you didn’t get my letter going up, but I guess I made it up. Charlie Schmidts’ are living off of Walley Rd now. Sweetie I just can’t write any more now. Have a terrible headache and feel a little upset. So goodnite my sweet darling, and take good care of yourself now cause the weather is gettting bad. And thanks again for being so thoughtful to send me candy. But I would love you even if you didn’t buy me a thing. I’m your body and soul and I will love you always. Loads and Loads of Love and Kisses from your devoted wife Ethel P.S. Do the guys still think you are hen pecked. Be good. E. | |
