Dear Dick,-
Here I am just [added above] now [end added above] answering your very prompt letter. Your wife made us a flying visit last week-end. She got in around 6 last Saturday evening and had to leave before noon the next day. I have to think twice to remember whether she was home or not. Your things from California are all unpacked and stored for the duration, I guess. Everything arrived safely which is something all that distance. Our house is all upset just at this point. The painters are here painting the living room, dining room and breakfast room. I am glad that Eveline did not come home this week-end as her room or I should say your room
too is piled up with ornaments and pictures etc. The room will be ready though whenever you and Eveline can make it here. Bill is happy to-day as Westminster beat Pitt last night 47-38. It was quite an upset and Geneva beat Duquesne and Wooster beat Ohio Wesleyan 57-38. Pitt is to have a new coach. Clark Shaughessey is his name and he is the inventor of the T formation. You know what that means, but it is all over my head. The Dean thinks that Bill may not be in uniform before June, so that will give him 2 years of college. We are anxiously awaiting his grades for the 1st semester. I am afraid that they are not too good. I wish that he would study like Eveline did, but I guess that is asking too much. That was grand that you got to talk to Eveline the other Sunday. Hope that this finds you well and you have nothing to worry about.
