Ayersville, O. April 20^th 1862

Dear Friend

Belle it has been a long time since I have seen or heard from you so I thought I would write to you and let you know that I am well and hope you are well too.  I want to see you very much.  I read Cal’s letters and would come down to your house with Caroline and Sarah but mother said she did not think she would let me because I have been there and you hant been here yet she would let me know if you had been here I am looking for you every [illegible] day and I want you [illegible] come before school.  O Dear bell I want you to set with me at school & that’s a good girl if you will.  I don’t like to set with any body but you.  O dear bell I [illegible] you to come here so bad now.  Pleas write and tell me if you will set with me at school and what seat you want to set in.  [illegible] and I are going to Mr Addams to morrow if it don’t rain.  I must close by saying good by write soon.  I want to see baby kiss him for me.

Dear sir we received your letter of the 24 and very glad to hear that you are still living.  We are sorry your family is afflicted we hope they will soon be restored to health for without health life has few blessings.  We are well, with the exception of [illegible] we have had a very wet winter and still continues raining.  You wrote times we heard and [illegible] I have plenty on I thought [illegible] I hope you will have a pleasant life.  I suppose you have heard my children are married.  The girls are living in considerable [illegible] little girl 2 years [illegible] debby had a boy [illegible]

I will write no more at present I will be glad to hear from you receive our best wishes
