Ashtabula Harbor Ohio Dec. 23/1913 Dearest Mabel: Well dear we are all through with supper so I thought I would drop a few lines to you. Well I suppose you received the Grip by this time, and how were all the articles. Was the butter soft? I didn’t send your hat yet, gee I had all I wanted to do to carry the Grip. Will send your hat tomorrow, I think I will have to go up town. Well I think I will be home for New Years the way I hear today. Sent Hattie and Minnie a Xmas card the other day, expect a letter from Minnie pretty soon. I wrote her last week. Got a letter from my Aunt and say a german one at that, well I could read it all right. She certainly was tickeled [tickled] that I remembered her, and she said they fit fine. Well I got my Turkey today for Xmas, going to have a pretty nice dinner. Gee we certainly had awfull [awful] weather today, it rained pretty near all day. But I guess there’s going to be a change tonight is getting colder now. I suppose it will freeze up now and get cold. Well dear I will close hope to hear from you to-morrow. With love and a merry Xmas to you and all the rest. Your Hubby, Geo. | |
