Sandusky Ohio Nov. 21/1913 My dear Wife: Just a few lines to let you know that we got here all right. Got here about 5 o’clock this afternoon. Left Lorain about two o’clock. Just got through with supper and am pretty tired. So I am going right to bed and get a good nights sleep. Because you wouldent (wouldn’t) let me sleep ha ha. Well dear, I hope you got home allright (all right). I suppose the grip (suitcase) got kind of heavy for you to carry. Well there are two boats ahead of us here so I don’t think we will get out much before Sunday. Unless they change our orders and send us up light. If we had only known that, why you could of come along and stayed here till (until) we left. I certainly didn’t like to see you go dear. For I’m so lonesome now, I don’t know what to do. Well I didn’t get my money yet but expect I’ll get it in the morning. Say, you took that card along didn’t you? Say you left your Bracelet here it was on the closet door’s knobb (knob). Well dear I will keep it here, unless you want me to send it to you. Well hon (honey) I will close with best wishes to Lalla (Laura) and Margery. A big hug and lots of kisses. Your Hubby, Geo. | |
