Abstract | Digitally distributed flier for the Black Swamp Arts Festival Local Music Stage at Howard's Club H in Bowling Green, Ohio on September 9th, 2000 featuring Aloha, Stylex, The Orgones, Lovesick, $10 Typewriter, Treysuno, Whitey, DJ Dub, The Unexpected, and Three Quarter Tank. The Black Swamp Arts Festival began in Bowling Green, Ohio in 1993, and by 1998 had expanded to include bands from the local scene. Aloha - Bowling Green, Ohio (2000s). Members: Matt Gengler, Tony Cavallario. The Orgones Bowling Green, Ohio (1999-2002). Members: Damion Hentschel, guitar, vocals; Ron Werdebaugh, guitar, vocals; Rich Weaver (until 2001), bass; Phil Dickinson, drums. Albums: Into the Vegetative Realm (CDR 2000); Dodge Pond (CDR 2001) The Unexpected - Late 1990s/early 2000s Bowling Green, Ohio, Band. Members include Dan Stutzman (bass), William “BJ” Price (guitar, vocals), Becky Skrvat (guitar), and Gary Giannetto (drums). (F) Howards Club H - Howard's Club H was established by Fred H. Howard in 1928 in the 200 block of North Main Street in Bowling Green, Ohio, as Howard's Confectionary Store and acquired a liquor license after prohibition was lifted. Howard sold the business in 1938 and became the mayor of Tarpon Springs, Florida. Howard's Club H moved across the street in 1973, for the construction of the Wood County District Public Library, where it is currently operating. |
