VERSE 01: Betsy’s the belle of the bathers,/Swimming’s considered her forte./Decidedly active,/Petite and attractive,/A brave natatorial sport./Women are jealous of Betsy,/Hate even hearing her name./For Betsy has charms,/And not one of those qualms,/To stop her from showing the same.
VERSE 02: Betsy is sylphlike and shapely,/That’s why the fatter girls sneer,/For all of them men shun,/And pay no attention,/Whenever fair Betsy is near./Fellows who hated the water,/Chaps who were always afraid,/Jump overboard quick,/Tho’ they can’t swim a lick,/To make Betsy swim to their aid.
