VERSE 01: Sleep, little one, sleep,/Softly the star lamps are shining,/Silently telling the tidings of joy,/Wonder of wonders divining/Just as the shepherds were keeping/Watch o’er the flocks that were sleeping,/Still they are shedding their silvery light,/All thro’ the Christmas night.
CHORUS: Angels guard above thee bending,/Sing thee a lullaby/Love upholding thee, peace enfolding thee,/Sent from on high/While the stars send out their light,/In a gleaming signal bright,/As they once shone down on Bethl’hem town,/That holy night./night.
