May 15, 1970 Mrs. Richard C. Werner 1377 Croyden Road Lyndhurst, Ohio 44124 Dear Mrs. Werner: Thank you for your letter of May 5. Obviously, the tragedy of the past several weeks has elicited varied responses from interested parents. We hope the recent additional information you have received from us on the events of these troubled days has helped us to regain your confidence. I do appreciate your letter and your interest, however, and want to assure you we share your desire to maintain a peaceful and education atmosphere on the Bowling Green campus. Cordially, Wm. Travers Jerome III President WTJ:da P.S. You and a lot of other parents and taxpayers are living in a world that was or you would never believe a two sentence news account full of misstatements. "Tantrums" we are having but they are not confined to students. Our campuses are at war within themselves and only an informed citizenry and student body can save the day. I have no magic wand! J |
