Festivals & Benefits
The Bowling Green, Ohio, music scene has a long history of local festivals and benefit shows including AIDS benefits, BGSU campus benefits, and pro-democracy rallies, as well as the long running Black Swamp Arts Festival.
The Black Swamp Arts Festival began in Bowling Green, Ohio, in 1993, and in 1998 had expanded to include bands from the local scene with the Local Stage until 2004, afterwhich saw related stages of local music including the Community Stage and Electronic stage currated by local artists and included bands featuring female artists such as The Cupcakes, The French, Codename: Candysnatch, and the unexpected.
