Mural Restoration

Dr. Janis L. Pallister

By the mid-1990s, the murals Donald Drumm created for the Jerome Library had badly faded.  Dr. Janis L. Pallister, Distinguished University Professor Emeritus and Doctor of Letters, honoris causa, in honor of whom the Janis L. Pallister Conference Room in Jerome Library is named, contributed significant funds to restore the murals.  In 1996, under the direction of then Dean of Libraries Dr. Linda Dobb, the murals and sculptures were refurbished to their original state.  The restoriation efforts once again made the murals a focal point on campus.
