Well dear we are still in Fort William and expect to leave in the morning.
We got an elevator quicker then (than) I expected. Well I suppose we’ll go to Buffalo, and then come to Cleveland to lay up.
Mabe (maybe) you can come down to Buffalo when we get there. Well one will see when we get there. If we will be there any length of time I’ll surely have you come down. Because I’ll be lonesome without you. Well dear I wrote a nice letter to Hattie and Minnie.
Did Laura go to Buffalo. I wonder if the Stanton (John Stanton) is going to lay up in Chicago or not. I suppose Ed and Laura will go home for a while then.
Well I’ll have to go up town right after dinner and order my grub. Certainly had a dandy trip so far nice weather ever since you got off. Gee, you could of stayed on here till (until) we layed up.
If we only knew what we know now. Oh well we should worry.
Well sweetheart I will close hoping to hear from you at Detroit and at the Soo. Now answer right away for this will be the last time we pass Detroit.
With true love and kisses. I am as ever.
