Just arrived in the pier so I thought I would drop you a few lines, and let you know we got here allright [all right]. Certainly had a dandy run, fine weather all the way. Don’t know where we are going from here, but will drop you a card, when I find out. We won’t be up to the Dock for an hour yet.
I am going to write a letter to the kids (Hattie [Harriet] and Minnie, Mabel’s younger twin sisters, born 1894) also, and will mail them when we get tied.
Well I wished the big day was over, have no Turkeys yet [and] will have to get them in the morning. Well dear I didn’t get your letter at Detroit, now you see how you dissapointed [disappointed] me. If you only knew enough to write here to S. Chicago to the Grocery store, then I will get a letter in the morning, mabe [maybe]. Say write me a letter to the Canadian Soo then I’ll get one letter any way. Gee I forgot to tell you to write to Chicago, but mabe [maybe] Laura told you. Gee I hope I have a letter at the store in the morning. Well dear I am fine and hope you are the same. How’s Laura and the baby.
I will write again from here If I find time before we leave. If not I will drop a card.
Well dear, I will close for this time hope to hear from you soon. With Love and kisses.
